Capt Colin F.G. Crookshank – General Manager

The General Manager is Capt Colin F.G. Crookshank who joined Saqr Port in August 2009. He has spent 35 years in the marine industry. Previously Colin was at Shoreham Port (UK) for 19 years in a number of senior port management roles as Harbour Master, Hydrographer and Pilot and prior to this was at sea with P&O, Jardine Mathieson and Ready Mix Concrete. He holds a Class 1 Foreign Going Master Mariners Certificate of Competency, Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science and is a qualified Port Facility Security Officer.

Phil Madin – Port Operations Manager

The Port Operations Manager is Phil Madin who joined Saqr Port in January 2009. He has spent 35 years in the ports industry, 30 years of which have been spent in the Middle East. Previously Phil was at Aqaba Port (Jordan) as Container Terminal Manager and prior to this was in Fujairah, Khor Fakkhan and Saudi Arabia.

Alan Pollard – Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is Alan Pollard who joined Saqr Port in August 2009. He has spent 40 years in the ports and airports industry, 15 years of which have been spent in the Middle East. Previously Alan was at Jebel Ali (Dubai) in International Logistics and prior to this was in Sharjah, Khor Fakkan and in the UK with the Port of London Authority and British Airways Cargo.

Roy Miller – Marine Operations Manager

The Marine Operations Manager is Roy Miller who has spent 18 years in the UK ports industry. Previously Roy was in the UK in a number of marine/port management roles as Marine Operations Manager, VTS Manager, Port Controller, Lock Master and Harbour Launch Crew. He holds a Boat Masters License, IOSH Managing Safely Certification and is a qualified Port Facility Security Officer under the ISPS Code.
