Saqr Port is an independent body controlled by a board and governed by Ras Al Khaimah’s own legislation.

A strategic review of Saqr Port will be carried out during 2010, following the appointment of the new General Manager Capt Colin F.G.

Saqr Port recognises both its statutory and community responsibilities for the protection of the natural environment of the Port.

At Saqr Port, the Harbour Master has overall responsibility for the conduct of the oil spill response operations and for casualty and/or salvage management.

The board and executive team of Saqr Port are fully aware of the importance of maintaining a high level of security.
